Being "independent" means self reliant, determined to
take responsibility for your own life and to make the
most of it. Otherwise, we're like a teenager who wants
to "do as I please" but HOLDS ON, just in case.
Reality says, you are the BOSS regardless of where your
paycheck comes from. Maybe you don't see it that way, but
YOUR success is connected directly to "who you are" and
what you are willing to invest in your job.
Set short-term, incremental goals. Work up to larger
and bigger plans over time. Never put yourself under
pressure to achieve beyond a reasonable target. If you
do then discouragement will set you UP for failure.
