Multi-Level-Marketing

What comes to mind when you see the letters MLM?  Is it a GOOD thing?  A Bad experience?  Some folks can tell you about pyramid schemes, a garage full of useless “stuff” to sell ~ which you had to pay for as part of your membership “package” ~ sold to you by some enthusiastic salesman/woman with little or no concern or interest in your success.  You hear words like UPline, DOWNline, 3 way phone calls, secrets [persausive tactics] most of us don’t appreciate intruding into our lives.  One of the best known MLM firms is Amway, a multi-billion $$ company, built on the MLM system in many US markets along with hordes of others.  Truth is…. we can’t fault the marketing programs as much as we find the training of agents is/was lacking within the ranks of overzealous Managers or sub-contractors drawn into the business.

Think with me a moment and you’ll see that the term MLM {multi-level-marketing} is not a bad idea.  You may have been burned in the past or missed MLM marketing in your career path.  However, if you have ever held a JOB…. you’ve been in MLM because ALL businesses are built on the same principle.  Every business has high/low levels of authority as well as income/compensation plans.  Your business experiences has placed you in various positions on the corporate LADDER, either low or high depending on your personal work history.

Some folks have made a great income while “doing” their MLM program right.  Others got caught up in the hype and excitement to discover it was not their “bag” to sell, particularly, not to friends or what some called your “warm” list… people who know your name.

Lots of myths surround the MLM marketing funnel while some truth is usually hiding around the corner.  Yes, there are many unhappy people that have tried MLM programs without success, but you’ll have to agree that some quality MLM programs serve an awesome clientele of users, sellers… happy campers who have discovered that MLM marketing is their niche, a way to own their own business.

Maybe we can ”debunk” {is that a word?} some of the wrong perceptions about MLM and learn about one or two programs that offer a great opportunity.  A firm that markets superior products and has high integrity and trust is the KEY.  You are invited to share your experiences with us of companies that offer these MLM qualities for our research.

I’m told the average age of folks driving down the super highways in a BIG RV is 50 plus making their money through an MLM program.  Carry your products with you, show them from the RV, your second or third home writing off the travel expenses running a business.  Uncle SAM favors the entrepreneur with the savvy to sell in the far corners of our country.  Not a bad deal if you LIKE the business.
